We’re excited to announce that ACORD is spearheading an important new industry initiative: Standardized Business Processes. And you can take part in guiding our progress!
ACORD Standard messages play a key operational role in the insurance lifecycle and insurance ecosystem. However, recognizing that much greater value could be realized, industry-wide, ACORD has launched a holistic initiative to better align messages with insurance business processes. ACORD has seen this work in certain markets and believes that it can be replicated to provide significant value to our members community through:
- Greater interoperability
- Consistent and efficient workflow
- Reduced operational costs
- Industry best practices
ACORD will now offer certification for process-based implementations across all programs, bringing greater value and recognition to the utilization of Standards.
We are seeking individuals in strategic operations management roles with visibility across product offerings, which is a benefit of participating in ACORD. The initial phase of this project is focused on the claims process, but it will evolve and expand to encompass the full insurance lifecycle.
