ACORD today announced the release of the latest ACORD Global Reinsurance & Large Commercial (GRLC) ePlacing Implementation Guide.
The GRLC ePlacing Implementation Guide v1.3 extends the scope of the ePlacing Standard to include facultative reinsurance, with the standard now supporting the electronic placement of all reinsurance contract types. The ePlacing Standards now parallel the GRLC Accounting (EBOT) and Claims (ECOT) Standards, which already cover both treaty and facultative reinsurance.
The latest version of the guide is the culmination of several years of collaborative work between business subject matter experts within the GRLC and Ruschlikon communities, which sought to expand the ePlacing Standards to support current and future needs of the global reinsurance ecosystem.
The GRLC community will continue to extend the scope of the guide throughout 2024 to establish standard JSON/API messages, among other enhancements.
