This year’s Industry Recognition Award for Individual Leadership in Global Reinsurance & Large Commercial Standards (GRLC) went to Régis Delayat, Chair of the Ruschlikon Steering Committee and Group CIO of SCOR. Régis’ 15 years of commitment to standards development is vast: he has been involved with the Global Reinsurance & Large Commercial Steering Committee since 2001, was a founding member of Ruschlikon and the Ruschlikon Lite initiative, and has been on the Ruschlikon Steering Committee since its inception.
The Industry Recognition Award for Organizational Leadership this year went to XL (Insurance) for their leadership in driving forward the adoption of eAccounting and co-insurance processes in GRLC, their leadership in Chairing the Ruschlikon UK group, and their various marketing efforts on behalf of Ruschlikon in 2014. XL also won the Streamline Award as well as the Early Adoption Award for being the first to go live (in work done with WebConnectivity) for the co-insurance message. XL Re also walked away with the Streamline Award for their integrated Ruschlikon processes.
Aon Benfield won the Streamline and Early Adoption Awards for their work in utilizing ACORD GRLC standards that have led to a significant improvement in processes and demonstrable benefits – not only for Aon but for their clients and the industry. Aon Benfield also won the Global Citizen Award for their global implementations. Aon Benfield’s implementations of Ruschlikon best practices and ACORD messaging include the Americas, Bermuda, the U.K., Continental Europe, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia.
Willis won the Global Citizen Award in recognition of their global implementations and furthering ACORD standards in all regions of the globe. They currently are live in the Americas, Bermuda, the U.K., China, Hong Kong, Japan, India, Malaysia, Australia and South Africa. Willis also won the Streamline and Early Adoption awards for their demonstrable success in bringing benefits to the insurance industry through the implementation of Ruschlikon best practices and GRLC standards, and their leading efforts in Key Performance Indicator use for Ruschlikon.
The Implementation Community of the Year Award went to the UK Ruschlikon Group in recognition of their outstanding leadership over the past years in truly integrating ACORD standards and Ruschlikon into the market. Simon Squires, Chair of the Ruschlikon UK group, accepted the award.
ACE won the Action and Early Adoption Awards for their implementation of the co-insurance process.
WebConnectivity was recognized for their crucial work in launching the co-insurance message, and they received both the Action Award as well as the Streamline Award.
And last but definitely not least, Xchanging walked away with four awards, two having to do directly with Ruschlikon. Netsett, their global utility that offers an automated central accounting, financial reporting & reconciliation process alongside the net settlement of claims and premiums between Cedents, Carriers and Brokers, has recently piloted with XL, XL Re, ACE, and Generali. They won the Action and Streamline Awards for these great efforts. For their e-placing platform, which allows for the electronic interaction of marketing, negotiating and placement they also won the Action Award as well as the Streamline Awards.
