BELLVILLE, SOUTH AFRICA, September 8, 2025 — Santam Re, a leading reinsurer in South Africa, has implemented ACORD Solutions Group’s ADEPT to digitally exchange B2B accounting transactions with their brokers. This implementation will eliminate time- and labor-intensive manual rekeying processes through automation for more accurate, efficient, and timely data exchange.
ADEPT (ACORD Data Exchange Platform and Translator) enables the seamless exchange of accounting, claims, and placing data with stakeholders across the global insurance ecosystem, regardless of their digital enablement. Santam Re integrated ADEPT’s accounting (EBOT) API with its self-built policy administration system to receive standardized B2B accounting messages, automating its data exchange with digitally enabled brokers, including Aon.
This partnership paves the way for Santam Re to expand its use of ADEPT, allowing it to receive digital ACORD standard claim (ECOT) transactions from global brokers, as well as to transform non-digital accounting and claim documents into transactions, and receive digital placing messages from brokers using any placing platform.
