ARENDAL, NORWAY, November 5—GARD, one of the world's largest marine insurers, announced today that it has selected ADEPT as its ACORD messaging gateway to send and receive digital accounting transactions (EBOT) with global brokers.
ACORD Solutions Group's ADEPT enables the seamless exchange of accounting, claims, and placing data with stakeholders across the global insurance ecosystem at all levels of digital enablement. GARD will use ADEPT’s receiver portal as their single source to view, query, and accept digital accounting transactions sent by brokers. GARD will also integrate ADEPT’s APIs into its proprietary policy administration system to streamline efficiency and workflows.
This implementation of ADEPT (ACORD Data Exchange Platform and Translator) will eliminate time- and labor-intensive manual rekeying processes for GARD. Through process automation, GARD enables more accurate, efficient, and timely data exchange, facilitating more efficient stakeholder interactions across the organization.
This partnership paves the way for GARD to expand its use of ADEPT, allowing it to receive digital ACORD standard claim (ECOT) transactions from global brokers, transform non-digital accounting and claim documents into transactions, and receive digital placing messages from brokers using any placing platform.
“We are taking a major step by implementing a central messaging gateway. This initiative is aimed at standardizing and simplifying the process of consuming and transmitting digital transactions with all our brokers,” said Steve Biddy, Team Development Leader and Architect, GARD. “By adopting this centralized approach, we will be able to streamline our operations, ensuring better efficiency and consistency across all communications. This gateway will not only enhance our digital capabilities but also strengthen our relationships with our brokers by providing a seamless and reliable platform for all transactions.”
“This integration of ADEPT is an exciting step forward toward market-wide digitalization in the global insurance ecosystem,” said Chris Newman, President International, ACORD Solutions Group. “GARD’s implementation enables full-scale automation of digital data exchange, eliminating time-consuming processes and facilitating more efficient communication with market partners.”
