ACORD Standards, which are widely used throughout the global insurance industry, have been shown to improve data quality and flow, increase efficiency, and enable improvements in process, organization, and technology. The organizations to be recognized include:

- The Hartford, for donation of XML material for Digital Standards development,
- MetLife, for donation of a claims lodgement API for Australian life insurance, and
- Nationwide, for donation of message structures for Digital Standards.
