Insurance Standards Donors Recognized for Their Industry Contributions at ACORD Connect 2018

PEARL RIVER, N.Y., Oct. 2, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- ACORD, the global standards-setting body for the insurance industry, will recognize a number of insurance leaders who have donated assets for the benefit of the ACORD community and the industry at large with Industry Contributor Awards, to be presented at ACORD Connect 2018.

ACORD Standards, which are widely used throughout the global insurance industry, have been shown to improve data quality and flow, increase efficiency, and enable improvements in process, organization, and technology. ACORD engages over 8,000 organizations, including carriers, brokers, agents, reinsurers, solution providers, and other participants.

The organizations to be recognized include:

  • Aon, for donation of a cyber data breach standard,
  • Beazley, for donation of a cyber data breach standard,
  • The Hartford, for donation of XML material for Digital Standards development,
  • MetLife, for donation of a claims lodgement API for Australian life insurance, and
  • Nationwide, for donation of message structures for Digital Standards.

ACORD Connect 2018 will be held October 10-11, 2018 in New Orleans.
