ACORD Southern Africa Short Term XML, version 2.2.0 was approved by the membership and has been posted to the ACORD website. The members' version can be found here. The public version can be downloaded from here.
This release included enhancements for a number of lines of business including Surety, Engineering, Agriculture, Value Added Products, and Pet. Additionally, changes were applied to the Premium Bordereau messages to account for a change in the way taxes are handled.
As the standard gets enhanced through the ACORD maintenance request process, functionality also increases. New lines of business (especially in the commercial lines space) allow the insurance community to have an increasing choice of products to implement with ACORD XML.
