ACORD e-Label Mappings Permanently Unite Forms and Data Standards

ACORD, the insurance industry's global data standards organization, today announced the release of its new e-Label mappings, which define the relationships between each data field on ACORD Forms and the ACORD Data Standards in XML and AL3 formats.

"ACORD's e-Label mappings eliminate the need for companies to create their own translation between Forms and Data Standards," said Peter Teresi, ACORD Vice President of Standards & Technology. "All the ACORD P&C Standards are aligned so partners can now exchange data with complete accuracy and consistency."

ACORD Forms and Standards are currently used by thousands of agents and hundreds of insurers and solution providers across the U.S. and around the world. ACORD participants, including forms licensees, can acquire the e-Label mappings for use in their systems.

"The e-Label mappings will allow agents to create pre-filled ACORD forms using existing data from our Insurance Management Solutions system," said Brent Sheppard, President of Xanatek. "In addition to reducing errors at the agency level, using the mappings reduces our development time by hundreds of hours now and in the future."
