ACORD Announces ACORD2015, Flagship Fall Event for Standards, Business and Technology

Pearl River, NY and Orlando, FL, May 5, 2014 – ACORD, the global data standards organization, announced today that it will launch a signature event in November 2015, to be called ACORD2015.

ACORD2015 will build upon the established foundation of ACORD’s current fall flagship, the ACORD Implementation Forum (AIF). Since launching in 2008, AIF has grown steadily in attendance, scope and depth of subject matter.  ACORD2015 will blend key elements of AIF and other ACORD events into a new program that features in-depth ACORD Standards training paired with related business and technology topics focused on the theme of change.

 “We want our events to help people stay on the leading edge of innovation,” said ACORD President & CEO Greg Maciag.  “ACORD and its Standards have kept pace with the evolution of the insurance industry since 1970, and that’s enabled us to develop a unique perspective on the ways that business and technology connect.  ACORD2015 will allow us to share that perspective in an engaging way, and continue that evolution.”

ACORD2015 will also take a fresh approach to the conference format, with sessions tailored to promote interactivity, keynote speakers selected for their thought leadership, an increased focus on young professionals, and a reimagined Innovation Center for exhibitors and sponsors to showcase their products.

ACORD2015 will draw from the best of what ACORD events have to offer,” said Director of Event Programs Malou August, “We’re putting an emphasis on networking and connecting people to information and solutions they can apply in the real world.  It’s all about new ideas to help you work smarter and more effectively.”

ACORD2015 will take place at the Boca Raton Resort and Club in Florida from November 2-4, 2015.  The 2014 ACORD Implementation Forum will take place on October 27-30 at the Harbor Beach Marriott Resort in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. 


ACORD (Association for Cooperative Operations Research and Development) is a global, nonprofit organization serving the insurance and related industries. ACORD facilitates the development of open consensus data standards and standard forms, and works with its members and partner organizations to drive implementation of those standards. Implementing ACORD Standards has been shown to improve data quality and flow, increase efficiency, and realize billion-dollar savings to the global industry.
