Here at ACORD we’re deeply committed to helping the insurance industry in every way possible. One of the most effective ways to drive positive change within our industry is attracting new talent. It helps the industry gain fresh ideas and new perspectives, as well as overcoming the “brain drain” caused by much of our workforce retiring in the coming years. In order to combat this issue and increase interest in the insurance industry, ACORD launched our #ACORDscholar program in 2011. Over the years the program has grown to include students as well as young industry professionals, and last year’s program at AIF was a major success, with 25 scholars from around the country participating!
As we look to #ACORD2015
, our newly enhanced annual conference, we’re committed to expanding that #ACORDscholar success. To date nearly 90 applicants from schools across the nation have applied to be an ACORD2015 scholar, each candidate more impressive than the last. Though we can’t bring every one of these wonderful candidates to Boca Raton, we will have our largest scholar attendance ever at #ACORD2015. Besides learning about the ins and outs of the insurance industry, this year’s winners will have the ability to network with potential employers and colleagues from all over the nation.
ACORD is honored to host this year’s group of #ACORDscholars, and would like to thank our roster of ACORD2015 sponsors
, as this program would not be possible without their generous support. This year we have additional sponsorship opportunities to enhance our scholars’ time at ACORD2015, like our Student’s Night Out and more; for additional information about these opportunities please contact Allyson Bergman at firstname.lastname@example.org
We will announce the winners of the ACORD Student Scholarship on Wednesday, August 13th! We are looking forward to what these bright, engaged students will bring to the event; they are already leaders on their campuses and will soon become our new colleagues – we invite you to meet and network with them at ACORD2015!
If you have questions about our scholars program tweet us using the hashtags #ACORDscholars and #ACORD2015.
