The ACORD Young Professional and Student Scholarships continue to grow, and this year will be no exception. ACORD has worked hard to attract younger people to the insurance industry, and these scholarships help accomplish that goal.
There is a strong need to lure Generation X and Millennials since Baby Boomers are retiring. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, "employment in insurance carriers and related activities is expected to grow by 9 percent, adding 194,800 new jobs by 2020." But with Boomers retiring, there may not be enough people to fill those positions. So apply today!
All Scholars receive:
- Complimentary event registration to ACORD2015 (including all event-based receptions, breakfasts and lunches)
- Hotel accommodations for two nights
- Transportation stipend.
Scholarship value is $3000. ACORD thanks all of our generous sponsors for their contribution to the ACORD scholars program. Young Professional Scholars

Our newly expanded Student Scholar program brought nearly 20 students from across the country to last year's program and added a fresh new dynamic to the event. The success of that program allowed us to expand the student scholar program this year to new RMI colleges as well as associated majors like Programing, Data Science and Business Development!
The student scholar application is now open at www.acord.org/students
. If you know of a student who would be a good candidate, please pass along that link so they can be considered for this year's application cycle.
