The ACORD User Groups Information Exchange (AUGIE) took a new approach to how it advocates in 2014. We started an "Ambassadors" program. AUGIE's "Ambassadors" are individuals who have agreed to exchange information with their constituents, social networks or during presentations to help bring our message out to the masses.
This year's priorities and "Ambassador" topics included Commercial Lines, Claims, Direct Bill Commission Download and Activity Notifications.
With over 14,500 agencies currently using commercial lines download for one or more lines of business, we continued to communicate how this workflow has improved throughout the years. Agent Ambassadors shared stories about how using CLDL frees up their staff to service and grow their commercial book of business!
The other two new workflows, Claims Download and Activity Notifications, were also proved to increase the agencies' efficiency and service. Agents stated that "claims download allows the agency to improve the claims experience for the policyholder, on a timely basis."
Activity notifications provides the agents with a streamlined workflow, replacing email and the multiple steps an agency would have to take to document a client's file. It provides the agency with information in their agency system versus having to log into a carrier website, or to handle an email. A few examples of an activity that occurs in the agency system are a "Cancellation" notification, or "Non-Renewal" notifications, allowing the agency to be pro-active, versus reactive. The "Policy Declarations" notification with attachment eliminates agency keystrokes by delivering the information to the agency system and client's record, versus having to log into a carrier website to secure the document and then add it to the client file in the system.
Thanks to IVANS, a division of Applied, and Doug Johnson, we now have industry statistics that prove that our "single" voice and "Ambassador" program are making an impact! Agents are able to secure a report from IVANS to see what download is currently available to them, that they aren't currently using today. This increased awareness has increased the agencies usage across all lines of business! One notable increase that we saw this year is over 1,100 agencies are now using Direct Bill Commission since April! This workflow saves an agency 15% of the payroll expense!
