Rick Heil, CLU, CHFS, ACE
Standards Director
Rick Heil serves as Standards Director at ACORD woking directly with all of the ACORD Standards team to enhance and streamline the standards development process. Prior to ACORD, Rick served as Director of Standards for the Insured Retirement Institute (IRI), responsible for the strategy and development of NAVA's Straight-through Processing Standards Initiative (NAVA STP) message standards. Until 2005, he was Program Director for ACORD's Life, Annuity & Health Standards program. His previous industry experience includes serving as a vice-president of information systems for a national life insurance agency, a senior vice-president of a leading insurance illustration systems vendor, and a senior vice-president of a multi-national software developer selling automated underwriting and new business processing systems worldwide. He is a strong advocate of industry standards and is actively involved with many industry associations.


Peter Marotta, AIDM, FIDM
Enterprise Data Administrator
Verisk Analytics
Peter Marotta, Enterprise Data Administrator, leads Verisk Analytics’ enterprise data management activities which are focused on documenting Verisk’s intellectual property, exploring new methods of acquiring new and different data, supporting business unit plans, and defining Verisk's enterprise data strategies. Pete is a founding member and past president of the Insurance Data Management Association (IDMA), serves on IDMA’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee as Vice President of Emerging Data Management Issues, and is the editor of IDMA's Executive Data Management Information Service, EDMIS. He is a founding member of the IAIDQ, serves on IASA’s Technology Program Committee and is a liaison to ACORD’s PCS and RLC Steering Committees. Pete holds an MBA - dual majors of Management Science & Statistics and Information Systems - from Pace University, a BS in Mathematics from Manhattan College. He is the recipient of IDMA’s 2006 Gary W. Knoble Service Award and was elected a Fellow in Insurance Data Management (FIDM) by IDMA’s Board of Directors.


Ed Skoviak, ACE
Standards Architect
Ed Skoviak is the Standards Architect at ACORD. Working across insurance domains, Ed is responsible for establishing consistent architectural standards by collaborating with both members and ACORD staff. He has 30 years of experience in the IT field, with the last 15 being in the insurance industry. Prior to joining ACORD, Ed was an Enterprise Architect at a large Life/Annuity/Health carrier.


Tracy Spadola, CPCU, AAM, CIDM, FIDM
Practice Lead, Insurance - Industry Consulting
Tracy Spadola is a Practice Lead, Insurance – Industry Consulting with Teradata, who is responsible for developing data warehousing business strategy for clients. In addition to data warehouse strategy, she provides consulting services in the area of logical data modeling, data quality, stewardship, data governance, data integration and business value. Tracy has more than twenty years experience in the insurance industry, working at such companies as Continental Insurance Company, CNA and Allstate. She is a frequent speaker at various industry conferences and has authored several articles on the topics of data management, data governance and stewardship in the insurance industry. Tracy is a past president of the Insurance Data Management Association (IDMA) and currently serves on the IDMA Board of Directors as Vice President of Business Development. Tracy holds a Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems from the State University of New York - Excelsior College and a Masters of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from Quinnipiac University.
