Introducing ACORD Next-Generation Digital Standards

The new ACORD Next-Generation Digital Standards, enabling fine-grained business transactions such as Microservices and RESTful APIs, are available in an initial Candidate Release.

Written in JSON and YAML, but compatible with existing XML, these new Standards are usable across technologies and lines of business. They facilitate omnichannel information exchange for carriers, brokers, and consumers alike; provide streamlined functionality across distribution channels and technology interfaces such as mobile apps, IoT, and other emerging technologies; and enable more efficient, easily consumable data transfer.

The first Candidate Recommendation Release (v1.0) of Next-Generation Digital Standards was a collaborative effort among several ACORD members, including The HartfordAIGBerkley Technology ServicesAonSwiss Re, Scor, and Ruschlikon.

For more information about how ACORD Next-Generation Digital Standards relate to existing XML Messaging Standards, see the FAQ. If you have any questions or want to learn more about how to get involved with the ACORD Digital Standards initiatives, contact standards@acord.org.
