An overview of the newly released Global Net Settlement standard for the GRLC community. The Net Settlement process is an alternative to the process whereby parties transfer funds to each of their partners individually.  The Net Settlement process allows a number of eAccounting parties to engage with a central system that brings together information regarding amounts due between all of the parties involved (as established by the EBOT process), and which then determines the net amount due to or from each party, and supports the transfer of the funds for these net amounts.

Big Data analytics, improving agency interactions and automating regulatory compliance processes are all top of mind for most insurance companies who are successfully positioning themselves for growth.  The insurance industry is driven by data and between all the relevant parties it creates huge amounts of it – structured and unstructured – which carriers must figure out how to manage and report on.  In that data is the information you need to identify new cross-sell opportunities for agents, bring new insights about your customers and prove compliance with the latest regulations.

The problem is how do you unleash that potential when you have aging legacy systems that don’t give you the flexibility you need integrate large volumes of new data sources and the agility to easily make changes to meet the latest regulatory compliance initiatives.  In this 60 min webinar, you will learn:

·         How these 3 trends are already impacting data integration strategies
·         What other organizations have done and their results
·         What you can do to jump start your path to growth

In today's competitive environment, independent agents and producers must continue to explore and implement more efficient and cost-effective ways of doing business with their consumers. Completing transactions electronically and reaching consumers electronically is necessary to compete with direct marketers. They also need to market to an automated and technically-savvy consumer and meet those consumers' needs — even if they cannot (wet-)sign on the dotted line.

Completing transactions electronically necessitates the utilization of electronic signatures and the delivery of documents to be signed electronically.

This isn't new. The ESIGN Act was signed into law in 2000. Yet twelve years later, the majority of agents have still not adopted them.

Hear from four of those who have researched, chosen, and implemented an electronic signature solution within their organizations. They will explain:
•Why they implemented — and why you should adopt — electronic signatures
•How they chose a vendor solution
•What electronic signatures have done for their businesses

Presenters:
• Brian Bartosh, President, Top O'Michigan Insurance Agency
• Keith Savino, COO, Warwick Resource Group
• Michael Manawil, Operations Manager, Legends Environmental Insurance Services
• Mike Randles, Owner, Insurance Center Associates

Natural catastrophes have resulted in significant losses over the past few years. Greater insurance penetration into rapidly developing and urbanizing territories, increased reliance on a global supply chain and the potentially increased severity and frequency of natural events, is something the insurance industry is concerned about.

Compounding the impact of these losses is a faltering economy which provides few reliable investment vehicles for insurers and the impending oversight of Solvency II and similar regulatory regimes.

Confidently and reliably understanding, managing, analyzing and reporting exposures is critical for insurers, but systems are only as good as the data that goes into them: Garbage in, garbage out.

The use of company unique coverage codes is a practice that is ingrained in many companies' downloads. After an extensive review of unique codes employed by companies in the field today, ACORD and its members realized that implementers need an on-demand method to search the AL3 standard for coverage codes when faced with the need to build out new coverages for download to their agents. In addition, ACORD knew it could make it simpler and quicker to submit a request to validate that a new standard code is needed and funnel that request into the standards process.

As a result, ACORD with its Company Unique Codes Working Group enabled a new web-site search feature that allows AL3 members to sort, filter, and search for existing codes using various elements (i.e., code value, code description, sub-list). There is also a link whereby ACORD members can complete a "New Coverage Code Submission" document and email it to the Property & Casualty team.

The goals — encourage carriers to identify and use standard codes where possible and facilitate the new code identification and submission process.

This webinar will provide a walk-through of the new search and submit feature. Any company which uses AL3 should attend.
