ACE Program Prerequisites

Third-Party Exams

Meet Your Certification Prerequisites Before You Apply

Requirement #1
  Demonstrate proof of having fulfilled the Industry Knowledge Requirement for the ACE (find out what is accepted as proof of Industry Knowledge, below).

Requirement #2 - Possess at least 1 year of experience working with at least one of the ACORD Standards.

Requirement #3 - Read and fully familiarize with all details contained within the ACE Candidate Information Bulletin. Please email ace@acord.org to request your free copy.

Provided you can demonstrate the above requirements, and have reviewed the ACE Candidate Information Bulletin, you should pursue application for the ACE Program by clicking the "Apply, Study & Test" link in the left navigation. 


 

Insurance Industry Exams

As a prerequisite for the ACE Program, you must fulfill the industry knowledge requirement, which means successfully completing one of the exams listed below, possessing a current or expired agent or broker license, or having completed an internal insurance-related course offered by your organization.

If you have already taken an insurance industry exam and do not see it on the list, contact us at ace@acord.org to see if it is eligible for inclusion.

Once you pass the exam, simply send your certificate of completion or the transcript to ace@acord.org.

Pricing for exams listed are set by those institutions and are not controlled by ACORD. Please contact the individual organization listed for details and applicable pricing.
