ACORD conducts workshops and seminars
to educate members about the definitions and technologies
behind the ACORD Standards and various approaches to implement
the standards. These services are also available to non-members
at a higher non-member price.
Life & Annuity
Life & Annuity
Standards Overview - This training program can
be offered as a full day or half day executive overview.
The first part (overview) reviews ACORD, the ACORD
Standards Process and Life Standards. The second part
goes into more detail on the ACORD Life & Annuity
Standards including the Life Data Model as well as
message design and some of the more common messages.
Property & Casualty
ACORD XML
Standards Overview - A 1-day session providing
an overview of the ACORD P&C/Surety XML specification.
While this session is designed for business analysts,
technical experts would also find applicable content.
Topics range from fundamental XML terminology to design
principles utilized within the specification.
AL3 Standards
Workshop - This 1-day workshop explains the AL3
hierarchy, data groups, data elements, and messages.
Additional benefits of this course include navigation
of the AL3 Standards database, AL3 CD and discussion
of implementation issues. This workshop is considered
a primer for all participants preparing to use the
AL3 Standards.
