In 2001, when Reinsurance and Large Commercial standards were added to ACORD, its role evolved even more to that of a Global Insurance Standards organization with a world-wide membership base. Since that time, ACORD has continued to work with companies and organizations across Europe to further the understanding and implementation of standards.
To request more information about the ACORD activities in these locations, or to find out how ACORD can help your organization, please use the contacts provided in each section, or email memberservices@acord.org. We look forward to hearing from you.
Europe
ACORD has been working with the European Market since July 1, 2001 when ACORD
took over the Joint Venture reinsurance and large commercial standards from WISe.
There is a strong appetite currently in Europe for the adoption of standards
which deliver clear business benefits and meet the aspirations of the market
reform programs. ACORD is coordinating international standards activities for
reform and systems development.
