Contribute to Development

ACORD isn't just Standards and Forms. At its core, ACORD is people.

ACORD members and volunteers from across the full spectrum of the insurance industry unite behind the common goals of efficiency and progress embodied by the ACORD Standards. Our standards development process is driven by professionals like you, all willing to volunteer time and share expertise to improve our entire industry.

Standards Project Groups & Advisory Groups

ACORD Standards Project Groups (SPGs) and Advisory Groups are member-driven, collaborative efforts which create, maintain, and refine the ACORD Standards. There are several groups, tailored to different lines of business and geographic regions. We welcome your interest in any Standards Project Group which serves your needs.

Donate Assets

Our community often donates assets to the industry through ACORD, which are incorporated into the ongoing development of ACORD Standards & Architecture. Our members find that, through the power of network effects, widespread adoption is able to drive greater efficiencies than proprietary standards.

Donations include a wide variety of materials that describe, model, or structure details of insurance data, process, or enterprise. Examples include, but are by no means limited to: API specifications, user stories, business architecture components, standard messaging formats, and datasets.

For more information about donating assets through ACORD, please contact Member Services.
