AUGIE Agency Survey Results
The AUGIE Agency Survey was launched on January 2, 2002. During the seven weeks it was online nearly 9,000 agency personnel from principles to producers to CSRs went on the web and took the survey. It is not only to those people, but the dedicated company representatives, vendors, associations and agency management system user groups,
that AUGIE owes its appreciation. Without their commitment, this unprecedented agency survey would not have achieved such success.
The following files are available for download:
- Executive Summary
The Executive Summary is a PDF containing some highlights from the survey and its key findings.
- Survey
Results Overview
Originally presented at the ACORD Conference in May, this 61 slide
PowerPoint presentation provides a high level overview of the survey results.
It can be viewed online or downloaded to your computer. The “Notes” view includes
commentary.
- Survey Comments
This 87-page Word document contains open-ended comments many respondents provided. In some ways, this file may be the most valuable because not only does the content provide
anecdotal evidence of what agents are experiencing, but the way it’s communicated speaks volumes to the frustration they feel as they struggle to survive in this ever increasing competitive arena.
- Raw Data and
Code Book
This is the full survey database contained in two spreadsheets. The Raw
Data file is zipped due to its size (8,531 survey results). The Raw Data together with the Code Book
provides all the information a company needs to do its own results analysis. While AUGIE did do some analysis across agency size,
and while certain questions were looked at by respondent, we couldn’t do everything. If you don’t have the capabilities to do extended analysis, contact us and we can connect you with the company that did
our initial reviews. Just send an email to augiesurveyrequest@acord.org.
- AUGIE Survey Report
This zipped Excel spreadsheet has the same data as the Raw Data (see
above), however we’ve combined it with the Code Book to make it readable. All the column heads are actual questions
from the survey and the record cells are the question options.
This file allows those without the ability to combine the Raw
Data and Code Book to still get at straight statistics through sorting
fields. However, due to the number of variables involved, the
spreadsheet's flexibility in this regard will be somewhat limited.
- Sample Survey
Finally, this link takes you to a copy of the online survey itself,
to give a feel for what the respondents saw when they took the survey. It retains all of the
original programming, so as an example, if you indicate you are responsible for Personal Lines only, you won’t see any of the Commercial Lines questions.
If you have any additional comments or questions about the
AUGIE Survey, please email them to augiesurveyrequest@acord.org,
and someone will respond to your inquiry as soon as possible.
