AUGIE - the ACORD-User Group Information Exchange - is a forum for ACORD, agents, brokers, insurers, solution providers, and associations to gather information, share ideas and actively shape the future of the insurance industry. It allows collaboration on common concerns that affect the day-to-day and long-term operations of agents and provides agents with a voice in the ACORD standards process with the goal of improving agency efficiency and productivity.
What Does AUGIE Do?
AUGIE was created by ACORD and major vendor user groups to…
- Unite independent agents management system user
groups nationwide to gather and share information while serving as a valuable
complement to carrier-specific agency councils and agency technology working
groups.
- Bring together various constituents for a common purpose including representatives
of state and national agent associations, all management system user groups,
national and regional carriers, and scores of technology vendors. As a group,
they serve as a sounding board for carriers seeking insight into effective
technology and agency/company workflow initiatives.
- Provide insight into the agent-carrier relationship by letting carriers take
part in or simply observe candid discussion of technology and workflow issues
that affect independent agencies of all sizes.
- Provide the industry with the latest reports, discussion notes and tools
to guide internal development efforts, help generate greater agency input and
improve agency efficiency.
