To
insure that ACORD is in alignment with both the needs
of our members and with trends in the industry as a
whole, ACORD reached out to its membership to outline
the plans and directions for the organization over the
next several years. This Strategy Report provides in-depth
research and analysis of not only ACORD activities,
but of industry trends and changes that affect ACORD
and all members along the insurance value chain.
Member requirements and industry
trends were captured through multiple channels including
one-on-one member interviews, focus group sessions and
an online survey. This multi-tiered approach led to the
participation by approximately 25 percent of the ACORD
membership and ensured a breadth of involvement by ACORD's
active members, ACORD's Board of Directors and recognized
industry thought leaders. Requirements and input were
captured across the entire insurance value chain, all
lines of business and geographic regions.
The results focused on several specific
