The ACORD Case Status Notification message (#1125) is one of the more widely implemented messages in the ACORD LAH community. The group is working to:
- Update the current ACORD/NAILBA implementation guide to reflect more recent versions of the ACORD Standard.
- Prepare maintenance requests to update the ACORD Standard.
- Validate a User Guide developed for a non-technical audience.
- Focus on ACORD Case Status Notification transactions
(125/1125).
- Update the Guide to include more recent versions of the NAILBA EDI formats (if necessary).
- Propose additional updates to the model and the guides based on discussions with the NAILBA Technology subcommittee.

This group is working to ensure standardized forms are designed in a way that would eliminate different versions of the same form for different carriers and different states. In addition to the standardization of other processes, the team is also committed to providing feedback toward the maintenance of standardized forms, such as form 951 - 1035 Exchange/Rollover/Transfer, as the forms are impacted by regulation or member request.

The group is working to further develop ACORD standards to support the employee benefits business within the insurance industry. The group plans to complete the development and forms implementation guides for the Basic RFP, Group Life, STD and LTD forms in preparation for pilot. The group will also support pilot testing and implementations and will submit updates to the ACORD LAH data model based on pilot findings. Also in scope is the expansion of the ACORD standards within the Framework to support RFI and RFP for life.

This group will complete work on an Illustration Implementation Guide while removing gaps in the existing Illustration Request Transaction. The result will be a fully documented, service oriented transaction that can be used as an interface to calculation engines and/or full illustration services.

LAWG serves to reduce variations in the interpretation of the
Standard. It can
produce written recommendations on the best practices for dealing
with common problems in the use of the data model and improve
the uniformity within the data model by reviewing proposals
from Working Groups with specific business focus. The LAWG's
primary role is to develop, establish, communicate, and enhance
the architectural and technical structure of the Life/Annuity/Health
Standards. In addition, they: give architectural advice regarding
problems referred to us by individual member companies or by
a working group; develop proposals for enhancements to the standard
that do not fall within the scope of any active group; act as
a forum for post-subcommittee cleanup of MR items; and serve
as a liaison with the Joint Technical Efforts that are active.

The Life Product working group produced a draft implementation guide for Product Profile for Life (PPfL) product standards and is in need of a forum to address new business needs by developing enhancements and refinements to the ACORD LAH Standard.

MR Review

The MR Review Working Group is an open forum where all members who desire to can review and comment together on proposed changes (MRs) to a Standard and recommend clarifications and/or alternate proposed solutions. This forum will allow for the development of more universal solutions. The group can provide recommendations for approval or reasons for declination of an MR which will be noted on the MR reports along with corresponding comments (if provided) by the MR author(s), and such content will be included in the voting ballot materials.

This cycle, the group will review and prioritize all outstanding Working Group issues, resolving those considered to be critical as well as review of all messages impacted by work completed to-date. In addition they will:

- Review the 103
New Business
Message.
- Revise the 103
to support Part
B.
- Document both
the request and
response
messages in the
Implementation
Guide.
- Use the
information the
PLC WG gathers
about the 103 to
facilitate the
work being done
by the AML
