Beth Grossman Receives IDMA Recognition
Beth Grossman, assistant vice president, IndustryRelations, was named a Fellow in Insurance Data Management (FIDM) at the 24th Annual Meeting of the Insurance Data Management Association on March 10, 2008.

ACORD Implementation Leader and Innovator of the Month: Prudential Financial
Long-time ACORD member Prudential was recognized this month as an ACORD Implementation Leader and Innovator, acknowledging them as a member who has demonstrated exceptional and/or innovative ways of implementing ACORD standards and have brought value to their organization.

ACORD and IIAB of Japan Hold Standards Seminar
On November 13, 2007, the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers, Japanese Division (www.iiabj.jp) hosted a seminar in Tokyo discussing ACORD and the role of standards in the industry. More than 120 attendees gathered, representing insurance companies, agents, brokers, and vendors. Some were already familiar with ACORD standards but for others, this was their introduction.

ACORD Partners with National Underwriter on New Agency Award
For independent agents, technology has become a critical difference-maker in operating more productively and cost-efficiently. To recognize the efforts of innovative agencies when it comes to technology, National Underwriter, in partnership with ACORD, has launched the inaugural NU Agency Technology Achievement Award.

ACORD Implementation Leader and Innovator of the Month: Genworth Financial
Starting this month, ACORD is acknowledging members who have demonstrated exceptional and/or innovative ways of implementing ACORD standards and brought value to their organization by recognizing them as an ACORD Implementation Leader and Innovator. The first company to be receive this honor is Genworth Financial.

ACORD Participates in UN/CEFACT Stockholm Meeting
Beth Grossman, assistant vice president, Industry Relations at ACORD participated in the recent United Nations Centre for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business (UN/CEFACT) semi annual CEFACT Forum in Stockholm, September 24 to 28. Industry groups representing insurance, banking, transport and many others met there to discuss issues of international trade, standards, and interoperability.
